Secure by Design Foundation Assessment

This tool is designed to help you to measure your progress with Secure by Design. It’s for you if you are transitioning from traditional government security accreditation or a new capability.

Before using the tool, we recommend doing the Prepare Step tasks with your whole team. If you’re unsure where to start with that, you’re very welcome to join one of our free Cyber Design Accelerator sessions.

If you are unsure of an answer, you should respond with no. This is because this is a self-assessment and designed to help you. It is not a test or an audit.

• You can go through the questions and submit your answers in under an hour.
• Keep your browser session open as once you leave this page as your answers won’t be stored.
• Once you have completed the questionnaire, you can see your results represented graphically.
• You also have the option to provide an email address to have a pdf report sent to you.

Instead we have improved and simplified the UK MOD questions, removing duplicates and making the questions easier to understand for non-technical experts or for people without access to internal MOD documents. It will, however, produce very similar feedback for you.
